Ahmed Al-Awah is the current Chief of the Strategic Advisory Unit in the Information & Communications Technology Services Section. His role involves advising on current, state-of-the-art and future-looking information, communication and data technologies of potential value to the organization. Mr. Al-Awah also organizes, plans and oversees strategic IT activities and projects at ECA. Mr. Al-Awah has over 16 years of experience working on the design, implementation, support, and management of global ICT infrastructure and application systems in both a technical and project/program management capacity. Prior to joining ECA, he has worked for several international organizations in both the private and public sectors including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Dell Inc. and Nexen Inc. He is associated with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T). Mr. Al-Awah holds a B.Tech. in Information Systems from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada.
