Issoufou Seidou Sanda has a Master of Science in Development Management, option Technology Management, a combined master in economics and statistics (statisticien-économiste), and is currently enrolled at NorthCentral University to complete a Phd in Technology management, option Data science. He has more than fifteen years of experience at the United Nations and a range of industry certifications including Microsoft Certified Programmer, Microsoft Certified Database Manager, Certified Blockchain Developer, Certified Ethereum Developer, Certified Cryptocurrencies Expert, Prince2 Practitioner, etc. and has completed advanced training trainings in database technology, data integration, quantitative modeling, big data integration, quantitative research design, monitoring and evaluation with reputed educational institutions. He has an extensive work experience in economics and statistics acquired in the Central Bank of West African States, the Statistics Division of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the Quality Assurance and Information Management Unit of Department of Field Support, United Nations Secretariat , the African Centre for Statistics of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the Sub-Regional Office for Central Africa of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. He has supported various high level projects such as the Human Resources Action Plan of the Department of Field Support, the Global Strategy for Improving Agricultural and Rural statistics, Production of Environmental Statistics and Natural Capital Accounts in African countries, structural transformation analysis for Central Africa economies, macroeconomic modeling for supporting the central Africa Regional Programme for Industrialization and Development, the African Regional Integration Index, the economic study of Ebola impact in Africa, models about the economic impact of COVID-19 in African countries, the revised Strategy for the Harmonization of Statistics in Africa, the development of various dashboards about economic development and structural transformation in central Africa, etc. His current interest areas are statistical development, trade in value added and value chains, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning and their applications in economics, blockchain technology and innovative finance and their application in development, natural capital accounting, and the interface between technology and development management.
