Raquel Frederick is a junior economist and young professional working with the Sub-Regional Office for Eastern Africa of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) based in Kigali, Rwanda. Prior to joining UNECA in 2019, Raquel worked as an analyst and conducted research for the Caribbean Development Bank, UNDP, World Bank and other academic and private sector entities. She holds a Master of International Affairs in Economic Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College (United States of America).
