Amadou Diouf is an Economic Affairs Officer at the Centre on the Demographic Dynamics for Development of the Subregional Office for West Africa. His areas of expertise include economics, statistics, developement planing, demographic dynamics, monetary and finance issues and regional integration. Prior to joining ECA, he worked as a Senior Statistician Economist for the National Statistics Institute, Senegal, a Head of Division of Economics studies and statistics at the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) and as a Coordinator of ECOWAS Community Development Program. Recent publications, studies and research discuss topics such as the implementation of the African Charter of Statistic in West Africa, socioeconomics impacts of Ebola in Africa and infrastructure and growth in the West African Economic and Monetary Union countries, Socio-Economic Profile of various Countries and of the West African Sub region, assessment of the progress of regional integration in ECOWAS, West African single currency initiative and demographics dynamics in West Africa . Mr. Diouf holds a M.A. in statistics and economics from Ecole Nationale de Statistiques et d’Economie Appliquée (ENSEA), Abidjan and a Master degree in Banking, Finance and Risk Management from the university Paris XIII, France.
