Atkeyelsh Persson, PhD in Development Studies from University of Cape Town (UCT), MSc in Environmental Management & Policy from International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE), and International Masters of Global Public Health (MPH) from Lund University, Sweden. She has more than 15 years’ work experience in development issues in Africa and Europe. Currently, she is an Economic Affairs Officer at the Macroeconomic Policy and Governance Division of United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). She has worked as a Programme Officer at Strategic Planning, Oversight and Results Division of ECA; at AUC-ECA-AfDB Land Policy Initiative Secretariat in Addis Ababa, as well as at the World Health Organizations Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen, Denmark. Many of her research findings on development issues have been disseminated at international workshops & published in accredited Scientific Journal as well as Academic Book Publishers such as Routledge. She is associated with the ECA Road Safety Technical Working Group, Anti-Illicit Financial Flows Technical Working Group and is a Member of MethodSpace of SAGE Publications. She is versatile, resourceful and duly qualified to analyze topics in policy research on issues related to sustainable development, and programme planning and coordination.
