ECA and RES4Africa Foundation Kick Off Executive Seminar and Technical Training on Policy and Regulatory Reforms for Energy Access in Dakar

A technical training organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the RES4Africa Foundation on “Promoting the openness, attractiveness and readiness of electricity markets in Africa through policy and regulatory reforms to crowd-in private sector investment” commenced today at the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) in Dakar, Senegal with the participation of experts from national electricity regulatory institutions and Ministries of energy from eight member States, namely Algeria, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal.

Revisiting fiscal policies in managing risk to build resilience

IDEP and its Partners continue to support the digital transformation’s efforts of technical and vocational education and training in Africa

The African Institute for Economic Development and Planning of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) welcomed the 2023 cohort of African leaders and practitioners of the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) Centers, in Dakar, Senegal, during a regional face-to-face training workshop. Fifteen leaders and fifteen practitioners, from Cameroon, Union of the Comoros, Djibouti, Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, took part in this regional training workshop from 19 to 21 September 2023.

Malaysian’s INTAN and IDEP train African officials on best practices in planning and managing sustainable development
