From ideas to impact: Sharing a thoughtful and practical reflection on identity, belonging, and emotional resilience in multicultural environments

The ECA Library is pleased to host an upcoming Book Talk on: Bond Beyond Borders: Building Resilience, Navigating Cultural Differences, and Cultivating Lasting Relationships, by Seble L. Dessalegne. The event date will be shared soon.

Seble L. Dessalegne is a cross-cultural health and fitness coach, digital health advocate, and founder of Bond Beyond Borders. Through her experience living and working in different countries, she offers a thoughtful and practical reflection on identity, belonging, and emotional resilience in multicultural environments.

Her book speaks to anyone who lives or works between cultures. It explores how to build trust across cultural boundaries, how to navigate self-doubt and identity conflict, and how to maintain well-being in global and high-pressure settings. The stories are personal, but the lessons are widely relevant for international professionals, parents raising children in multicultural homes, and colleagues working in diverse teams.

The discussion will be moderated by Ms. Josephine Marealle Ulimwengu, with panelists Ms. Elza Maharramova, Mr. Ernest Cho Chi, and Mr. Pierre Emmanuel Billet, who will each bring perspectives from team dynamics, family life, and personal development.

Through this session, the ECA Library continues to promote open conversation, cultural awareness, and shared learning within the UN community.
