A sustainable training program to drive innovative initiatives in the sector Porto Novo, Benin - December 18th, 2024 - The empowerment of women and youth is at the heart of economic development in Africa, particularly in the agricultural sector. In response to this challenge, the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), in partnership with the Songhai Center, started the training session for the second cohort of nineteen women and young entrepreneurs, at the Songhaï Center. This session, identical to the first, offers a very practical program in the field, to equip these groups to seize the advantages of agricultural entrepreneurship, but also the opportunities offered by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Lomé, 14 octobre 2024 - L’Institut africain de développement économique et de planification (IDEP) a formé au Togo, du 14 au 18 octobre, une vingtaine d’acteurs nationaux sur la méthode d’évaluation de l'économie bleue développée par la Commission économique pour l’Afrique (CEA). Cette formation faisait suite à la demande adressée à l’IDEP par le Gouvernement togolais, à travers le Haut Conseil de la Mer, et était destinée aux professionnels des secteurs publics et paragouvernementaux, aux organisations de la société civile ainsi qu'aux communautés côtières.

Djibouti, 24 novembre 2024 - L’Institut Africain de Développement Économique et de Planification (IDEP), en collaboration avec l’Institut National d’Administration Publique (INAP) et le Ministère de l’Économie et des Finances en charge de l’Industrie, a lancé, ce vendredi 24 novembre à Djibouti, une session de formation en planification stratégique destinée à 38 agents des ministères chargés de la planification et des secteurs clés du gouvernement.
