The African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) is pleased to invite you to its online Development Seminar on the theme “Behavioral Economics: Integrating Human Psychology into Public Policy for Effective Development Impact”.

In an era demanding nuanced solutions, behavioral economics offers a critical lens for designing policies that are more effective, intuitive, and people centric. This webinar will explore how insights into human decision making such as biases and social norms, can be leveraged to create practical and inclusive development strategies.

We will examine the application of behavioral "nudges" to improve program outcomes and examine how African governments can integrate these approaches for more sustainable and equitable policies, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals( SDG) and African Union Agenda 2063.

Aligned with the UN 2.0 vision of strengthening our capabilities, this session will showcase practical applications and successful case studies from across Africa and beyond.
