The government endeavors to work with traditional miners, to assist them to access credit to acquire simple modern technologies that can be used in exploration, cutting, shaping and sorting/grading products.

The government works with traditional miners to boost their productive capacity and assist them to access credit so as to acquire simple modern technologies that can be used in exploration, cutting, shaping and sorting/grading products
Marketing and quality
Through the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, there exist regional buying centers for Gold. Subsidies are introduced in the marketing structure whereby the buying centers receive a 5% premium price on the gold sold to the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, effectively regulating the price of gold for ASM miners. In addition, government works with miners in creating modern value - value addition, with improved quality and quantity and enhanced supply chains as the main priorities of the government.
